Νέο σύστημα ανακοίνωσης αποτελεσμάτων για τις εξετάσεις ECCE & ECPE

Νέο σύστημα ανακοίνωσης αποτελεσμάτων για τις εξετάσεις ECCE & ECPE

Το 2014, το CaMLA θα εφαρμόσει νέο σύστημα ανακοίνωσης των αποτελεσμάτων για το ECCE (Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English) και το ECPE (Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English).

Enhanced Results Reporting
System for ECCE & ECPE in 2014
Beginning in March 2014, CaMLA will phase in an enhanced results reporting system for the
ECCE
(Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English) and the
ECPE
(Examination for the
Certificate of Proficiency in English). This system will have two important features:
1.
Test takers will receive a scaled numeric
score for all four sections of the exam
The additional score information will provide test takers
with more precise information about their performance. For
example, a test taker who receives a band score of Pass (P)
in any section of either the ECCE or ECPE will now be able to
see if his or her score is at the top of this band—close to an
Honors (H)—or if it is closer to a Low Pass (LP). Test takers
and teachers can use the information to focus on areas where
additional practice is needed.
Reporting System Band Scores
Scaled Score Per Section
Honors (H)840–1000
Pass (P)750–835
Low Pass (LP)650–745
Borderline Fail (BF)610–645
Fail (F)0–605
2.Test takers whose average score for all four
sections is equal to 650 or higher will pass
the exam and receive a certificate
This change will be implemented first for the ECCE. As of
March 2014, in addition to the band score, the official ECCE
score report will also feature a scaled numeric score for all
four sections. ECCE test takers who achieve an average score
of 650 or higher will be awarded a certificate. Additionally,
ECCE test takers who achieve a score of 840 or higher in all
four sections will be awarded a Certificate of Competency
with Honors.
Starting in November 2014, the ECPE official score report will
also provide a scaled numeric score for all four sections. ECPE
test takers who achieve an average score of 650 or higher will
be awarded a certificate. Additionally, ECPE test takers who
achieve a score of 840 or higher in all four sections will be
awarded a Certificate of Proficiency with Honors.
The language proficiency required to pass the ECPE and the
ECCE will not change (to read more about scaled scores, visit
our website). Rather, the enhanced results reporting system
will provide stakeholders with additional information about
candidate performance.
